Selfhood and Settled Science
critique and confession
‘Human beliefs, once settled, aren’t subject to revision by arguments or evidence.’ —eugyppius
It seemed so obvious, when you looked at the arbitrary and inconsistent rules around Covid lockdowns, masking, testing, statistics, mandates, prohibited and required treatments, the globally orchestrated response, the happy pronouncements of the WEF and other bigwigs chanting in unison, “Build Back Better.”
‘All of the incentives in the mainstream media are to take care of the pharmaceutical mafia that pays the bills.’ —Toby Rogers
Yet family and friends—many still to this day—never came around to realize it was all lies, a gigantic scam. Because of course the politicians, the media mouthpieces, the institutional experts, never recanted, never apologized, never acknowledged the ongoing harms of their killshots.

Same with the never-ending Climate Crisis, beginning in the ‘70s with an Ice Age scare, proceeding to various iterations of Global Boiling, all due to that minor yet life-giving gas, carbon dioxide. Finally they nailed the perpetual motion trick dubbed “Climate Change,” and in its sacred name proceeded to outlaw conventional economies and lifestyles, supposedly forever. To be replaced by impractical and destructive schemes that divert megafunds to the usual suspects at the top of the food chain, naturally exempt from the restrictions imposed on all of us useless eaters.
Yet, the adherents of the multi-decade greenwashing program aren’t going to wake up now, having invested their personal identity, their sense of virtue, their social proof, into the project. No argument or evidence, indeed, can shake their settled belief now. That would take too much soul searching, guilt and shame, too much loss of face.
Oh, I tried, by email, comment threads, phone calls, even face to face. It never goes anywhere. People wake up or change their spots in their own time, or far more likely, not. It’s just too much work, too much research and cognitive rewiring, too much identity reshaping, to be palatable, or practical… especially if you have a job with a settled set of expectations from employers and coworkers; established networks of peers with shared values; or just a personal comfort level with what you have come to stand for over time.
Fortunately Substack came along to offer a safe, alternative space of community in the wake of the Covidian madness. All the other scams came to light along with it, and the work of exposure goes on day by day. Yet lately I notice more and more a sameness in the comments, just as there is an opposite sameness in the bluechecked camp entrained to the propaganda machine of mainstream media and “trusted experts.”
Not to say there aren’t major divisions of opinion still afoot, even within the “alternative” camp. These very divisions become tools of the ruling powers—if you’re in the alternative subset that believes there are “ruling powers.” The fracturing of MAGA around Israel, or the impatience over disclosure of the Epstein or JFK or UFO files, or degree of meaningful change in vaccine policy, are prominent current examples of diverging beliefs on the so-called Right. Then there’s the odd predicament of challenging empire and government power, then finding the chief challenger now holding the reins of empire and government power.
These ironies and predicaments are healthy—except, of course, as they defuse opposition to the real ruling powers…
‘a technocratic One World that flattens all aspects of reality into the controllable and commodifiable, controlled by a hidden but hierarchical and parasitical upper elite who own the central banks of the world and the money supply, enforced by transnational security elite gangsters and thugs and a cloying media/school system propaganda apparatus.’ —Neofeudal Liberalism
But that worldview, I confess, expresses my own belief. And no evidence or argument is going to change my mind.

It also deals with the intended Great Taking. This stops that as well. Very important to get legal actions in the courts I think, to jam them all up with their plans. Also to tell the people, you are all the real owners of the land.
We need to have a movement of people working to get the land returned to the people. All people should have free land by birth. This is the only way to survive the madness of the plans. Please take a look at Paragov. It is really good and is talking about exactly this point.
